Why does it say two moments overlap?
Because the two really cross, and it tells you by how many minutes, or because they start at the same hour. Ending where the next one begins doesn't count: that's a handoff. And if a moment in your timeline has no end time, OPHIRA tells you it couldn't check.
An overlap isn't a mistake. You may have put the toast inside the cocktail hour on purpose. OPHIRA names it: it doesn't fix anything and never suggests times.
What counts as an overlap
Two cases, and both count:
- They really cross. OPHIRA tells you which one and how many minutes.
- They start at the same hour. That always counts, even with no end time: two things at 16:00 overlap even if nobody knows how long they run.
A handoff isn't flagged
The ceremony ending at 12:00 and the cocktail hour opening at 12:00 don't cross: that's a handoff, and it's how a wedding is planned. Flagging it would teach you to ignore the signals.
If the end time is missing
The end time is optional, and without it all that can be compared is when that moment starts. OPHIRA says so: it tells you how many moments it couldn't check, and that there may be more overlap than you can see.
The party is the usual case: nobody knows when it ends. If you want it compared, write the hour even if it crosses midnight: 22:00 to 02:00 saves, and the row marks it (+1).
