Where do the reference ranges come from?

They're ranges from the Mexican wedding market, expressed as a suggested percentage of your total budget and based on industry sources. They're there to orient you as you split your budget: OPHIRA never flags an error for going outside a range.

Every system category shows a suggested range — venue and catering booked as a package, for instance, usually land between 45% and 55% of the total.

What they are and what they aren't

They're a starting point when you have no idea what something should cost, and a signal when one category is eating your budget.

They are not a template you have to follow. Plenty of real weddings fall outside the ranges for perfectly good reasons: the venue is borrowed, the food is made by family, or you decided the music is what matters most to you.

OPHIRA doesn't warn you or penalise you for going outside. It just shows the range next to your number, so the decision is a conscious one.

If you want the full breakdown with figures in pesos, it's in the guides.
